Rock-Tenn Binders Board is a high-density solid board that meets or exceeds all NASTA specifications for elementary and high school textbooks. While it’s 100% recycled and very resistant to bending, it offers a high degree of surface smoothness. The coherence and bonding of the fibers, flexural strength, toughness and stiffness are all the result of our unique wet lap fourdrinier manufacturing process.
Unlike more common substitute boards, such as graphic or laminated boards, that are made by gluing sheets of paper together to form a multi-ply paperboard, our Binders Board is the only board in the United States developed specifically for bookbinding. It’s ideally suited for reference and scientific annuals; premium trade books; elementary, high school, and college textbooks; and library rebinding.
